Permaculture

pea plantQuite often seen as an alternative approach to gardening, permaculture may soon be the most sensible approach.

Put simply Permaculture is a Permanent Culture or Permanent Agriculture.

Having completed a Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) in 2008 I will gladly share ideas and techniques to any willing individuals.

Having grown from gardening principles, it is now more of a design for life, encompassing energy production, how we travel, the food we eat and how to reduce and reuse the waste we create. Any help or advice I can give in relation to permaculture will be given with pleasure at very little or no cost.

In January I was very excited to visit my very good friend Nico's and his partner Maria's farm in Cyprus - where they are using and teaching Permaculture techniques and producing fantastic olives. Atsas Farm is getting incredible results in the quality of the oil, recently being awarded double gold at the Aristoleo Awards and currently hold the title of Healthiest Extra Virgin Olive Oil in the world!. Nico and I met whilst travelling in Australia and both took our first foray into Permaculture together there. http://cyprus-mail.com/2016/12/04/best-olive-oil-world/

For any further information on Permaculture I'd suggest a good start is the Permaculture Association.

And for some inspiration try this.
